Apartments, flats in the city!

Apartements in Budapest are not rare but good ones in a nice part of the city are. Like in every major city the apartments in the center are the most expensive whereas the further you go to the suburbs an apartement gets cheaper. The majority of the houses in the city center of Budapest lok very old and rotten but from the inside they have a very nice flair and charme. If you move a little bit to the outskirts you see old communist buildings with one small apartments next to the other build in grey, old 70's style.
At the moment many new houses are build near the center of Budapest which are of course state of the art apartments. By bus or tram you need around 5 to 10 minutes to the city center.
Apartments in Budapest come around 6-7 € per squere meter to rent which is compared to other European capitals extremely cheap.
