Thai Massage in Budapest
A Thai Massage can really heal your soul and make feel as if you were new born. Sometimes you need to give yourself some time to relax and get refreshed by some strong Thai girls hands. After hard working days I about every second week or so I visit the Paradise Thai Massage Center near MOM Park in Budapest. Don’t get me wrong, this is no paid advertisement or any kind of marketing text I am writing here but it is a recommendation if you feel like getting your bones in the position they belong to and your muscles relaxed.
Written in Entertainment, LeisureHoldudvar – A good place to be
Right now I am sitting in Holdudvar in Budapest, as they describe themselves a restaurant, bar, garden, gallery and open air cinema. It is really a great place to be. They have free WLAN which allows me to write this post, it is quiet because it is in the middle of Margit island and on a warm summer day you can sit in the sunshine and have a beer, cocktail, some other drink or eat something.
I would describe the holdudvar as an open air bar, restaurant and party place (thursday till saturday). During the day you can eat and discuss while at night you can dance, listen to music and drink. I have to admit that at the moment Holdudvar is my favourite place to be. I was working a bit from here while having a beer and listening to some music in the backgroung.
In Holdudvar the prices are average for Budapest level so you pay 550 HUF for a beer (Becks) which is around 2,20€ or around 5€ for a decent cocktail. The place itself is built upon an old Casino which used to be on the Margit island and includes a massive outside area with several bars, table tennis, csocsó tables (table football) ad much more. At night the fantastic lights of Holdudvar are shining, the Pálinka bar is open and you can dance inside.
By the way, I just checked for “Holdudvar Budapest” in Google and I realized that there is a GOogle maps apearing in first place, showing Holdudvar still on Múseum Körút 8 which is the old place of Holdudvar when it used to be in the university. Great times but over Google it is now on Margit island.
Written in LeisureEvent after event in Budapest
The Formula one is just a couple days over and already the next big event starts. After a long weekend of amazing motor sport with several thousand visitors in Budapest and an exciting race the Sziget Festival starts tonight. We already informed you about the LineUp this year which is a compared to last year not too good. To be honest it is shit.
But no who cares about the LineUp if he can have a week of fun on Budapests biggest island. This year ticket prices raised from 5.000 to 6.000 HUF for a single day pass but it will be fun as last year for all music freaks. Have fun.
Millenaris Park and T-Com Park most crowded
Millenáris Park and T-Com Park at Hösök tere (hero square) are the most visited places to watch the football world cup 2006.
In Millenáris Park there are some seated places the rest has to sit on the floor. Beer is around 400HUF for 0,5 litre snacks, food and other drinks are available as well. The entrance is free.
T-Com Park at Hösök tere offers a large tent, a stand, football pitch and much more plus T-Com, T-Online and T-Mobile games and information. The entrance costs 500HUF wich includes a 200HUF coupon for drinks. Beer is around 400HUF and other drinks, cocktails, wine is also offered.
Holdudvar on Margit Sziget
As you can read on the main page Holdudvar is on margit sziget now due to construction work at the old place. Has someone been there? I did not have the chance up to now to go there. Is it good? I heard it is not as good as it was before. I liked the flair of Holdudvar but honestly I cannot imagine that it is nearly as good as it was. At the moment I prefer West Balkan to go out. You have everything there, sit and drink, outside as well as inside, and a dancefloor. I guess as soon as it gets warmer I will try out the new Holdudvar but I need a plan B if it is shit. What else is on margit sziget. Chachacha terasz is OK but not as cool as the winter chachacha, Copacabbana… well not my style actually. We will see. First the weather has to change.
