The Budapest Circus is not a travelling circus located in the beautiful Városliget, the city park, right next to the Budapest Zoo, the Amusement park and the Szechenyi Bath. This area is the recreation and amusement are of Budapest and packed every weekend with families coming for entertainment such as the Budapest Circus. In the Budapest Circus you will find performances of all kind from animal shows over artistic performances up to the traditional clown making you and your kids laugh.
Usually I am not a big fan of circuses but when I have been in the circus recently in Budapest I have to admit that it is really well done and quite entertaining especially for kids. The artists are very good and do really stunning performances and the animal shows are also nice even though I do not like seeing animals doing stupid stuff only to entertain people. Nevertheless the performances are very good and impressive. Even though the Budapest Circus, with 2.400 – 3.100 HUF for adults and 2.000 – 2.500 HUF for children between 4 and 14, is quite expensive I think that it is worth seeing the performances on a rainy saturday or sunday afternoon. The show is approximately 2 hours long.
