There are Bus Tours that take you to the most important sights within an hour and give you information in several languages through headphones but there are also full day Sightseeing buses where you discover Budapest in detail, get of the bus, visit museums and important sights. So you see the choice is yours depending on the length you would like to spend.

Sightseeing Bus Tours in Budapest are very popular because they are very unique and diverse unlike the River Cruise Tours which obviously only can take place on the Danube. Furthermore you can also book bus tours outside Budapest to visit famous and interesting spots all over Hungary for example the nearby wine region in Etyek, a Danube bend day trip incl. Szentendre and Esztergom or a visit to Lake Balaton. The choice of Sightseeing Bus Tours is nearly unlimited.

Hop On Hop Off Budapest

The Hop On Hop Off Bus in Budapest is one of the best combinations of sightseeing and public transport. After buying the 24 or 48 hours ticket you are obliged to take any of the 3 lines (one of them is a boat) on their route at any time, wherever you are. That means you can take it to get from one place to the other or just sit inside and get your sightseeing Tour by Bus. Best however is the combination of both. You can get on the bus to start your city tour and if there is a sights that you consider to be interesting you hop off and visit the sight. After you had a look or guided tour e.g. in the Budapest Parliament you go back to the bus stop and carry on with your tour. Szentendre Tour (4 hours)

Szentendre is a really nice destination for a day trip. Right next to the Danube in the north of Budapest you find the small viallage Szentendre which is year by year visited by thousands of tourists from all around the world. It is a very good place to get out of Budapest and enjoy the village life for a day and to see something else than only sights of Budapest. I guess that a trip to Szentendre is best for people who stay in Hungary for a week, if you stay for a weekend only it simply takes too much time. ← → x × Previous Next
