Menta Terasz Budapest
Menta Terasz in Budapest is a location where you can find everything from decent food, a very nice garden, a lounge and a club. The food they offer is this typical international style where you can get a bit from everywhere and some more from Hungary. The location of Menta Terasz is very nice and cosy even though it is situated on one of the roads with the highest traffic on Buda side, the Margit Körut.
Club White Angel Budapest
White Angel is the new name of some club near Hajógyári Sziget which is really massive but I forgot the name. It seems to me that after some years they just change the name of the club just to have a reason to make an opening party again and try to reach new people coming. Honestly this club is massive and hosts at least 2000 people there. They made this club wuite nice and modern which I don’t really like but I have to admit that it was good work they have done there.

Since 2006 Holdudvar in Budapest is located on Margit sziget instead of the university. If you enter Margit sziget from Margit bridge you have to walk about 500m into the island and you will see the lights of Holdudvar which they became famous for (See picture below).
The place is quiet cool as it is an old house renovated very good in the middle of the island. Actually the place is the same except from the nice university wall surounding the place. In my eyes Holdudvar in Budapest is a little bit too large so it is hard that some kind of party feeling gets up. In the old Holdudvar you were standing almost on your neighbours feet so you had to do what the people around you did… dance.
By now Holdudvar also offers a lot of different kind of food so it almost became a restaurant during the day time and the early evening. Nevertheless it is still one of the coolest open air places in Budapest and definetly worth a visit.

Gödör Klub Budapest
As I am writing this review about Gödör Klub I am actually sitting in here having a beer and enjoying the free WiFi to post this review. Gödör Klub in Budapest is located in the very heart of Budapest right on Déak Tér, actually under it. The indoor area is under a little lake which is near Déak Tér, the outdoor part is on the stairs bringing you down the club.

Holdudvar, Szimpla kert, Buddha Beach!
Budapest offers many open air clubs in summer. In the last couple years a lot of new clubs opened up in backyards, at the Danube or in old manufacturing factory sides.
Famous for Budapest are the “kert” which is a backyard in a house complex or just a place like a beer garden. Every year new places come up and offer beer, wine, food and just everything you need for a nice evening. The ambience is very chilly most of the time candles are burning and there are places to lie down or chill. The prices in kerts are quite cheap compared to regular clubs and discos. Beer is usually a round 1-1,5 Euro for 0,4 liters. Wine is also very cheap. Mixed drinks are a little bit more expensive but still affordable.
Some of those kerts turn into a club at night with music and dance floor and some stay a chilly place outside.
Also clubs like Buddha beach, Rio or Zöld pardon are open air place but give the opportunity to dance and are not as chilly as the kérts. If you come to Budapest in summertime you will automatically go to an Open Air place because everybody will go there.
Quiet popular these days are open air places like Romkert or West Balkan which have a special flair and give a good opportunity for a good party with girls and beers.

Corvintető is a new place to go. Located in the center of Budapest directly at Blaha Luiza tér you can reach Corvintető very easy. The place itself is on the roof of an old shopping center. The entrance is a little bit hidden but you will find the building, as it is the highest around, and so the entrance.

Margit island party!
Cahchacha Terasz Budapest is the summer residence of Chachacha Underground Cafe which used to be on at Kalvin square and is near Nyugati now. The best way to reach Chachacha Terasz is to enter Margit island at Margit bridge. From there you walk approx. 200m and on the left side you will find the entrance. The Chachacha Terasz is an open air price with a very nice ambience and fantastic music. The party starts at around 1 at night when the club starts to get crowded. The prices for drinks are below average and the staff is very friendly.
We highly recommend Chachacha Terasz as well as Chachacha Underground Cafe in winter.
Retro Beach
Retro party at the danube shore!
Retro Beach Budapest opened in summer 2006. It is located right next to Buddha Beach. The two clubs are connected to each other and the entrance is free. Retro Beach is kept in retro style as the name tells already. The audience is the same as in Buddha Beach, mixed in age with a lot of beautiful women. There is a good reason for suspicion that Retro Beach and Buddha Beach belong together.

Open air, danube, Erzsébet híd!
Romkert Budapest is a new open air place at the Erzsébet bridge on Buda side. Located directly at the Danube shore where the Rudas bath is you have a wonderful atomsphere like in a beergarden with an additional dance floor. The people at Romkert in Budapest do not fit into one sheme it is just a good mix of many people who love to dance, party and drink.

Thai style party meets sightseeing!
If you want to have an absolutely amazing view on Budapest and at the same time party and dance or sit in a small bamboo thai style house and have a drink there is only one place to go, Buddha Beach. Located directly at the Danube on the Pest side you can see Gellert Hill and the Castle District from small comfortable bamboo houses while next to you party is going on. At least at night.

Hajógyári sziget parties!
On the biggest island of Budapest, the Hajógyári sziget is Mokka Cuka. An open air club in the middle of nowhere. Thats what it looks like but in fact you are in between Buda and Pest on an island. Surrounded by trees, flowers and bushes you can find a half open tent which is part of the dancefloor.

Zöld Pardon is an open air place on the Buda side of Budapest. It is located directly next to the bridge or actually within the range of the bridge because you can turn left if you come from Pest side to reach the upper Danube road and in this circle is Zöld Pardon. By the way, on the other side of the bridge is the open air club Cafe del Rio. In Zöld Pardon in summer there are a lot of live concerts of Hungarian bands in the evening. The audience of Zöld Pardon is very different.

Marigt sziget’s hidden place!
At the end of Margit Island you can find a little entrance under the bridge. You have to go through a long tunnel and at the end you are at the entrance of Copacabana beach Budapest. An open air club with beach feeling. Half the club is under a roof including the dancefloors and the bars. The rest is uncovered and you actually sit directly next to the bridge.

Ráday club in Budapest is in the center of Ráday utca. Ráday Club is a Rock Club only with Guitar music. Depending on the day you find different styles of Rock. Often in Ráday Club in Budapest there are concerts taking place, most of unknown but good Rock bands from Hungary.

Rocktogon in Budapest is a Rock Club in Mozsár utca near Oktogon. That’s actually where the name Rocktogon comes from. I have never been in Rocktogon but as I heart it is a nice Rock Club with mixed guitar music and good athmosphere. From the outside the entrance is a little bit hidden and small as I checked when I passed the club once. With the adress it should not be a problem to find Rocktogon.

Find your G-Pont in Budapest!
G-Pont in Budapest is a Hip Hop club between Moskva tér and Margit bridge. If you like Hip Hop and RnB to dance you should go there. G-Pont is in the basement of a regular apartement house with a little entrance but it is easy to find because you see it from the major road. The audience is of course typical Hip Hop styled and behaves like that as well. The prices for drinks are average and affordable for everybody. So for a Rap, Hip Hop, RnB night in Budapest G-Pont is perfect.

Süss fel nap in Budapest offers depending of the day different music. Most famous is the saturday night with Hip Hop and RnB. The club itself is quiet complex what you would not expect seeing it from the outside. Besides the massive dancefloor Süss fel nap has a seperate area to chill out with relaxing music. Süss fel nap also offers places to sit and many bars to get drinks. The prices for drinks are average. beer from 310 – 380 HUF and cocktails from 900 – 1600 HUF. You can also eat small things like sandwiches.
