Holdudvar Budapest
Since 2006 Holdudvar in Budapest is located on Margit sziget instead of the university. If you enter Margit sziget from Margit bridge you have to walk about 500m into the island and you will see the lights of Holdudvar which they became famous for (See picture below).
The place is quiet cool as it is an old house renovated very good in the middle of the island. Actually the place is the same except from the nice university wall surounding the place. In my eyes Holdudvar in Budapest is a little bit too large so it is hard that some kind of party feeling gets up. In the old Holdudvar you were standing almost on your neighbours feet so you had to do what the people around you did… dance.
By now Holdudvar also offers a lot of different kind of food so it almost became a restaurant during the day time and the early evening. Nevertheless it is still one of the coolest open air places in Budapest and definetly worth a visit.

Gödör Klub Budapest
As I am writing this review about Gödör Klub I am actually sitting in here having a beer and enjoying the free WiFi to post this review. Gödör Klub in Budapest is located in the very heart of Budapest right on Déak Tér, actually under it. The indoor area is under a little lake which is near Déak Tér, the outdoor part is on the stairs bringing you down the club.

Students and expats!
The club Underground is located on Erzsebet körut in the center of Budapest. Mostly this club is a student club, many of them are expats studying here in Budapest. What I experienced is that they are mostly Portuguese students. The club itself is in the basement of a normal house and plays all kinds of music. The audience is a bit young because next to the foreign students there are a lot of younger people especially younger girls. In general club Underground in Budapest is a place to go to sometimes but I would not highly recommend it.

Party just like in Soho!
Soho london in Budapest has obviously its name from the famous part of London to go out. Soho London is not worse than that part of London because you can have great parties or just have a drink if you want. The big advantage is that it is by far not as expensive as its English counterpart. Probably for the money you spend in London for one drink you can have a great party night in Soho London Budapest.

The after party place!
Club Piaf in Budapest is well know as the club to go to when everything is closed. Piaf becomes attractive around 2 or 3 o’clock in the night. The best time for Piaf is around 4 or 5 when other clubs close. You can get a nice last beer and have a dance with other drunk people. But to be honest Piaf is a bit rotten but as you will be quiet drunk when you go there you will not realize anymore. Try out Piaf if you had not enough party at night.

Students Club in the City Center
Club Livingroom in Budapest is a place in the heart of Budapest. From outside you might not realize living room because it is in the cellar of a regular house. But downstairs is a massive club with more than 1000 squaremeters, many rooms and different places to party. A unique thing are little separeted rooms where you can hang around, close the curtains and talk, party or just drink.

Former Közgaz in new style!
School Club in Budapest is the former Közgaz Club in Közgaz university. In a complete new design School Club reopened in 2005. By now there is much more space, no seperated dance floors and a much more people. Before the reopening the club seemed not to be full at any day. The audience is more mixed than it used to be. Now the people partying at School Club are students and other young people whereas in Közgaz times the crowd was younger.

Inside, outside, dance floor!
West Balkan in Budapest is different. It is an inside place to sit and drink a beer with friends at the same time it is a beergarden to drink a beer as well or you just go down in the basement and dance. The open air part is very nice at West Balkan. Formerly it used to be a backyard of some house in Budapest. Now chairs and tables offer plenty of places to sit, talk, drink.

Underground, drinks and good music!
Chachacha in Budapest has a new place in Budapest since the construction works are running on Kalvin tér. The new place for Chachacha is near Nyugati pályaudvar and West End City Center. ChaChaCha still has a very special atmosphere. For me one of the best places in town to start the evening with a beer for 300 HUF (0,4 liter) which is approximately 1,20€. Every day of the week another DJ is showing up and mixing at the turntables. It starts quiet and easy in the early afternoon but gets loud later the night.

Posh, small, excellent!
Miniatür Budapest is a little posh place in the Buda hills. The 2. district is known as one of the best in Budapest and that is where Bar Miniatür is. From the outside it looks like a little private club with naked women but inside it is decorated like a theatre with red sofas and chairs. In fact Miniatür is quiet expensive but that makes sure you don’t have strange people in there.

Dance and drink with the train!
Morrisons club in Budapest is closed to the opera at Andrassy ut. You have to go down some stairs and there you are. Why I wrote “Dance and drink with the train”? Because Morrisons in Budapest has a small train running 2,5 meters above the bar. It’s a little gadget but nothing more. Besides this little train Morrisons has a very long bar with 4 or 5 different types of beer, cocktails, longdrinks, wine and more.

Party with young people!
If you go to Bank Dance Hall in Budapest you have to prepare to a very young audience. The average is around 18 which does not mean it is bad in there. Haven’t we been young as well? Bank Dance Hall is directly at the Nyugati Train station in the north eastern part of Budapest.

Hot parties
In Club Seven in Budapest you can be sure to celebrate long and hot parties. If you doubt it you should look in our party picture history what is going on there. Every weekend you find a special party. The audience is mixed from young to mid-age but the average is around 25. A legend already are the Sex and seven parties as well as the all incl. night parties in Club Seven. Come to Club seven and convince yourself.

Paris of Eastern Europe!
In „Paris of Eastern Europe” what Budapest is called of course one location is not missing. The Moulin Rouge. Even though it is calle dlike the great theatre in Paris it is not the same. Moulin Rouge Budapest is a club for dancing, drinking, flirting and more. Specially the Wednesdays are very popular in Moulin Rouge which makes it one of the places to go that day because many clubs are not open on Wednesdays or at least not many people go there. Moulin Rouge Budapest is a fantastic location to party.

Dokk in Budapest is at Hajógyári sziget, the biggest island of Budapest. Most people say that at Dokk Club the most beautiful women of Budapest go to party. Maybe it’s true but one thing is for sure if you make party Dokk is a club you should not miss. As in many Clubs in Budapest Dokk Club has a lot of Go-Go girls and other goodies for the night. The prices of Dokk Budapest are not the cheapest but OK. So check out Dokk Club.

High prices, high society
The bar Creol in Budapest has a very prominent location. At Roosewelt tér Creol is located near the Danube, next to high quality hotels and in the city centre. Therefore bar Creol has its prices which are far above average and can compete with London, Paris or Berlin. The cheapest beer you can get is 1000 HUF (4 Euro) for a 0,33l Amstel which ist 2-3 times as much as you usually pay for a 0,5l beer in a regular bar.

A38 in Budapest is a ship at the danube shore. Welome aboard to a club, restaurant and bar on the water. Tired of drinking on dry land? Than come to A38 ship in Budapest and see famous Hungarian bands playing, drink a cocktail on roof terrace of the boat or have a good dinner. A38 used to be an old stone carrier from the Ukraine which was build in 1938 and was reconstructed in 2003 and reopend as one of the hottest places to be in Budapest.

The Szimpla kert or Szimpla kertmozi is a mixture of an open air place, a pub and a cinema. From the street you almost miss the entrance because it looks like a regular door entrance (watch out for a small yeallow sign) but inside it is amazing. You enter the Szipla kert in the courtyard of an old house where you find all different kinds of chairs, tables and sofas.
