No, Starbucks is not yet in Budapest but the California Coffee Company and now finally the Enlish version Costa Coffee opened up in the heart of Budapest. Located right on the corner of Andrássy út and Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út which is probably one of the most promenent places in the city.
Costa Coffee definetly makes fantastic coffee but the prices are fairly expensive, especially compared to normal Hungarian coffee prices. You can find fancy creations of the list like Mochachino or Caramel Machiato which taste quite OK but have nothing to do anymore with coffee. Anyways, you pay for a medium Cafe Latte around 650 HUF which normally would be probably around 350 Ft.
Nevertheless Costa Coffee brings some Coffee to go flair to Budapest and offers a nice ambience, wireless and next to all kinds of coffee creations some sandwiches and cakes. So if you fany aLondon type of coffee in the heart of Budapest than have a stop at Costa Coffee.
