“Earth Day” Bike Ride

Critical Mass Budapest is once again organising a large scale (30,000+ participants!) “Earth Day” bicycle demonstration to promote non-polluting means of transportation and raise environmental awareness. 


DATE: Sunday, 19 April 2009
TIME: 4:30 PM
DURATION: The event will conclude with the raising of bicycles approximately at 6:30 PM.
Starting Point: Deák tér, 5th District
End Point: City Park – Királydomb (near Hero’s Square)

Route Map: Károly körút (small park near Deák square) – Astoria – Erzsébet híd (Erzsébet Bridge) – Attila út – Alagút (Tunnel: just now, without air pollution!) – Lánchíd (Chain Bridge) – Akadémia utca – Kossuth tér – Alkotmány utca – Bajcsy Zs. út – Andrássy út – Olof Palme sétány – Városliget Király-domb (City Park – near Hero’s Square).

  • Feel free to come. Because it’s fun,
  • it’s safe (a legal and peaceful demonstration, route closed to traffic by the police)
  • it’s the largest CM Ride in the world!
