Dunapark Café in Budapest

Expensive upper class!

The Dunapark Café in Budapest is located on the Pest side next to a little park near the Danube. It’s a quiet poshy place and if you want to see a Maserati or some expensive car like that, this is your place.

I don’t know if it was bad luck which I had but when I arrived in Dunapark Café and opened my laptop the internet was not working there. Additionally they didn’t have Lager beer anymore and the salad I ate was nothing but some lettuce with a chicken breast which was supposed to be a “Saté Chicken”. In total the Dunapark café in Budapest was a rip off, expensive, low quality even though the place has some flair with comfortable corners to sit in, Poker tables and much more. Nevertheless I would recommend to go to some other café, bar, restaurant in Budapest.

I have been to Dunapark several times, and i think it’s a great place, the atmosphere is fantastic, the waiters are very nice and the food is delicious. last time I had duck made in wok with some veggies and pasta, and it was fabulous. with just the right amount of spices and vegetables, the perfectly made duck was memorable.
I also tried the onion soup which was really good with the surprising flavour of thime, that complemnted the sweet flavour of onions just well.
i can recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a quiet afternoon in a cosy place with great food, and a remarkably good confectionery. ( i suggest you try the belgian chocolate cake)!

Duna Park is very expensive – indeed overpriced – but it has lovely atmosphere and is a wonderful place for a special meal.
