Pálinka and Sausage Festival in Budapest

In the time of October 10th till October 12th the Budavári Pálinka és Kolbászfesztivál will take place on Savoyan terrace up in castle district Budapest. For sure it will be a nice and interesting festival as Hungarian sausage and Pálinka (the traditional Hungarian shot) can be made in many different ways. So the producers will talk about their products and explain everything.

What I don’t really like about these festivals, the same with the pure Pálinka Festival and the Wine Festival, ist that they are too comercialized by now. You cannot just go there and have a look, no the Pálinka and Kolbász Festival costs 1500 HUF entrance, therefore you get a glas (wow) and a 500 HUF food and drink ticket. That means that you have to consum and you have a useless glass. Additionally the prices and amounts of e.g. Pálinka are given by the organization so most probably you will get 0,01l for 200 HUF of any Pálinka at any producer.

Anyways I think that this is a nice festival to go to but unfortunately I will be in Cancun, Mexico and cannot go there but I recommend to everybody who likes Pálinka or Hungarian sausage to go there.
