We sat at the table for 11 minutes before anyone bothered to walk over and help us (and no they didn't recognize me). We ordered two red wines and they were the SMALLEST glasses of wine I have EVER EVER had, and they were over 700 HUF each! PUB FOR SALE appears to be warm and friendly but they need to change the staff! The blond girl was standing at the bar ignoring just about every customer. TOURIST TRAP, NOT WORTH the STALE peanuts they offer. Stay away! Wow, went in AGAIN with a different girl, and the same exact thing. NO. We did not. We walked in and were virtually ignored for 10 minutes. Nobody said "Hello, or Welcome." Nothing. It wasn't just us, the staff seemed quite un-interested in just about everyone that walked into the door. We walked upstairs, came back down, still nobody said anything, then we sat down, and finally a brunette waitress came over and took our order. We ordered two coffee's. I'm not a coffee snob, but I can honestly say that the 500 forint coffee's were horrible. So for real this time, I will not go back to Pub For Sale. Bad staff, bad coffee and they had enough chances. You know the place with the beautiful girls holding the menu. Well, I talked to the blond girl that speaks German, and ordered a couple of beers. All is well. We spoke some German, and then after a day of riding, was a bit hungry, but with another 20k to ride, I just wanted some Carbs, so I ordered some fried potatoes. SHE SAID NO. "This is a restaurant, we don't serve just potatoes" Talk about stupid. I would have sat and had a few more drinks, ate my potatoes and they would have had a couple thousand more Forint, but NO, she wanted to explain why he cafe was so upscale I couldn't have just potatoes. So then I asked for the manager, and she said there "wasn't one here" despite the fact that he was sitting at the next table. Dishonest, uppity, and lost out on my business. Later another waiter brought me the potatoes and apologized. I let them sit, and paid for it all, and gave the other waiter a $10k Forint tip for being cool. Then she walked me to the table, and as I ordered she again, looked like I was taking her time away from her. Wow. I don't know if the staff is tired of all of the tourists as a result of being so close to the Market but wow. I won't be going there again. I also paid 700Ft for a .5L beer. A bit spendy I think. It was fun to see the stuff on the walls, the straw on the floor, and eat some stale peanuts, but been there done that. Won't do it again. Went to “Pub For Sale” today.
