Secret places for Sightseeing in Budapest

• The tunnel


The tunnel in Budapest is directly at the chain bridge on the Buda side and is going ebhind the castle district. Usually it is very crowded at the streets because a lot of people are taking this short cut. But directly over the tunnel is a little plattform for visitors which is not evry crowded. The place is actually not too secret but if you climb over the little wall you can walk around 5 meters to the border of this plattform and sit there. In summer many people come there at nighttime to have a beer and enjoy the view on chain bridge and the amazing lights which are on when its getting dark. Except from the chain bridge, the streets and some parts of the ricer you dont see too much of the city but the view on chain bridge is wonderful enough.





• Margit híd


If you want a really good picture of many sights in Budapest you have to go to Margit bridge. In the middle of the bridge where the tramp stops are some stairs to walk under the street to Margit island. In the middle of these stairs you have a great view on sights like chain bridge, parliament, castle district and Gellert hill with the citadella. For a picture of you with an amazing background, this spot is the best. Of course at night when all lights are on it is very beautiful as well and of course romantic.
