Why Match markets suck
If you live here in Budapest you for sure know these Match supermarkets which are basically all over the city. Basically these and CBA are the only supermarkets which are still really in the city not somewhere in the outskirts like Tesco, Auchan or Cora. Anyways these little match markets really suck. First of all the quality is really bad plus they never have decent fresh stuff like fruits or vegetables and the fresh cut meat for the bread looks like weeks old.
Basically why I write this post is that the Match supermarket here where I live is supposed to be open till 6 p.m. and thats exactly the time when I usually come home. So I walk over there to get some things like milk or a bread at 15 to 6 and always the friendly security man tells me that they are closed already. Hello? You are open till 6 and not when you feel like closing the shop. The problem is that this happens all the time. Basically I have to ge tback in my car and go to the next supermarket just for getting my food or drinks. I am really annoyed by this mentality which is typical Hungarian and I try to avoid Match supermarkets where I can.

Sent to the European Union as I can’t find an address for Match!
Dear Laslo
I have a apartment in the centre of Budapest on the 3rd floor just off the Andrassy utca in the Theatre district
On the ground floor is a small Match Super Market v ery convenient no doubt but at 03:00-04:00 in the morning the trucks come and unload the merchandise for the Super Market.
They bring the merchandise on trollies through the communal courtyard creating lots of noise as they trundle over the uneven stone which obviously wakes the tenants of the 12 flats sharing this courtyard
Is this legal at this time of day?
Best regards
